From 1998 to 2016 I ran Stagecraft. The company is now one of Ireland’s leading youth theatres and led by Jack Reardon. My artistic policy placed a firm emphasis on new writing, commissioning and producing work from some of the finest writers working in theatre today including Enda Walsh, Alex Jones, Simon Stephens, Moira Buffini, Jack Thorne, Abi Morgan, Lee Mattinson and Caryl Churchill. One of the many highlights of my time with Stagecraft was the founding of The Hub, which became the organisations home. This fully rigged studio theatre and rehearsal space allowed us space to experiment and take bigger risks with the work we produced.
